Well presented and informative video. Many people go into shock when diagnosed. You have shown that less is more. I am diabetic for over 40 years now. There is long term damage to my body but I still stand strong and get on with life. I hope other people can too. Just do the best you can.

Can we put spices in the salad like white onions tomato ginger and garlic?
@Helen De Juan of course you can. These are very helpful in the diabetic diet. Try to avoid ready made sauces usually full of sugar ans salt.
Yes, many people go into a shock when diagnosed with diabetes! However, I have family history and I have been careful what I put on my mouth. Despite that I did get a diagnosis in my late 40’s of pre diabetes. Unfortunately the doctors were only too quick to put me on medication. Now in my 60’s, I found a Clinic which specializes in helping reverse Type 2 diabetes! And within a year I’ve already cut back on the different medications and in the next year, actually get rid of all (there were three kinds – progressively). And many of these YouTube videos are extremely helpful in substituting regular foods and ingredients. As an Indian I’m extremely fond of traditional foods and flavours although I live in Toronto (Canada) for many years now. The information here and recipes in many others have made my life so joyful and my diabetes is well under control (around 6 mmols/L or about 108 mg/dL)
@Vidya Delvi I am so happy for you. I know it can be reversed but there are no specialist doctors on this tiny island. I did a lot of research myself and lowered it. I have a lot of damage after 40 years. The problem no doctor in England or Cyprus does anything apart from bombarding you with yet more insulin. You need to go private and I have not got that kind of money.
