Yes
Thank you for this! Such a great explanation of all the aspects of DKA, unlike anything I could find elsewhere. You have really helped my exam prep ❤
Love the way this is organized to see what causes what! Really helps for MCAT study.
This Was Incredible! Thank You So Much!
I love you. Your explanation was so clear and covered it all!
that was great presentation – thanks so much!
What a great, organized explanation of DKA!
Wow!! Been a nurse for 27 years (L&D, Infusion nurse, never med-surg) and this is the FIRST time I really have been able to digest and understand!! Thank you.
Wow thank you sm! I’m in EMT school and while I understand the negative effects of keto-acidosis, it never was explained WHY a diabetics body would try to produce ketones in the first place/what ketones are even used for.
This made everything make sense to me now. This is a result of the body starving and ketone is another energy source of the brain. This whole time I was like UH WHAT IS A KETONE like I know it makes acidic your blood , so WHY WOULD THE BODY MAKE IT? This cleared it up.
Thanks so much for the great video. Super logical and well explained.
That was fantastic!!!!! Thank you so much 🙂
I love Khan academy and it’s contents very much.
Omg this is so perfect!! Thank you!
Ahmad Ghazal Except I couldn’t remember any of this for my exam. But that’s my problem ?

Hi, so what exactly causes DKA to occur? Is it simply put, because someone who is type 1 diabetic has not had enough insulin?
YES! Wow, what a lecture. Easy to follow, short, to the point, packed with essential basics. 100% ☺☺☺
