About Robby Barbaro, MPH Mr. Barbaro is the co-founder of Mastering Diabetes and the NYT best-selling author of the Mastering Diabetes book. He is also the creator and founder of Mindful Diabetic, and has been effectively controlling his type 1 diabetes with nutrition for over 10 years.
About Cyrus Khambatta, PhD Cyrus Khambatta is a co-founder of Mastering Diabetes and co-author of the book Mastering Diabetes. He received his PhD in nutritional biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley. He started Mangoman Nutrition and Fitness in 2013 to teach people with diabetes how to measure, track, and reverse insulin resistance through plant-based nutrition and strategic exercise. Through nutrition education, exercise coaching, and his personal experience as a person with type 1 diabetes, he positively influences the lives of people with both type 1 and type 2 diabetes around the world.
About Dr. Laurie Marbas, MD, MBA Dr. Laurie Marbas is a double board certified family medicine and lifestyle medicine physician who has been utilizing food as medicine since 2012. Previously, she created a new medical model combining the power of nutrient-dense foods and intensive clinical psychological therapy to treat not only food addiction but also chronic disease. She serves as the Managing Editor for the Plantrician Project’s International Journal of Disease Reversal and Prevention.
