That’s excellent news for Murray, so pleased for him, the benefits of having such a knowledgeable and caring owner. You must feel great knowing you have totally reversed his DIABETES making him feel so much better.

Your video was perfectly timed. My 16 year old cat has started peeing everywhere, excessively, and wants to drink all the time! Thank you so much. I already have your supplements, so I will try this!

Hi Dr. Jones, I’m happy to see that you’re promoting your pet supplements in your videos. You should promote more of your products so your viewers could purchase them. You have a loyal following who trust you and your products.

I also got my cat 15 yr Leo off insulin. He just started last Oct. but in April finally went into remission. I’m super happy since he would be sick from it. Now he’s more energetic & happy.

Dr Jones– you are absolutely right, as you know, and now I and my husband and formerly diabetic cat know too, and thank you, with all our hearts. Now the only thing left to do is find a good home for all that expensive cat insulin and hypodermic needles! And the giant, old bag of dry kibble!

  6. Mimi Wrobel

A very brief history of what happened– our 15 lb 10 year old neutered kitty boy was dx was diabetes about a year ago– his blood sugar at the vet office was near 600, and he had been drinking and peeing excessively for a couple of weeks when we brought him in– we managed to control the sugar with twice daily injections for about 8 months– but after watching your video we started the high protein canned food only, and within a matter of days his blood sugar was consistently withing normal range– a little over 100– and we stopped using the insulin entirely. We continue to monitor occasionally, but so far, about 4 months later, normal sugar levels, no other symptoms. We owe you a great debt of gratitude.

@Ang H hi Ang how did it go? My cat is in the same situation, Easton over month and a half prescription diet, insulin 2 a day but his sugars levels fluctuate between 500 to 400, I’m freaking as well.

    3. Ang H

@Rosario Espínola I helped my cat by : 1. making sure that she only ate good quality wet food. Do not feet dry food. My vet sent me home with special diet food( dry). I couldn’t believe it. It’s about the money with docs. 2. Feed every 12 hours religiously. 3. Give supplements. I bough it from a homeopathic doctor. Will give details when have info at hand. Give lots of water always. Clean. I think I only injected her for 2 months. She’s still clean. Remission for life I hope. I hope your baby get better.

My cat has just been started on 1 unit of insulin x2 per day though she is borderline diabetic/non-diabetic. She had become morose (we thought maybe in pain from undiagnosed arthritis) and sleeping all day, no energy. As soon as vet took her off dry food a huge turn around – up and around, energetic, moving well, happy. So why didn’t he allow her to carry on on more suitable food for a while instead of putting her straight onto insulin with the obvious trauma that causes? We asked about diet because of the turnaround with wet food and because she’s only borderline, he said doesn’t work in animals. I’m a little angry right now, feel duped, and will be having a discussion with my daughter who’s a naturopath, who shouldn’t be too hard to convince diet is worth trying for now. Puss is 4.3Kg 14 yr old Burmese and her sugar was not very high (I forget what he said it was). I don’t think you would have put her on insulin. Living in Australia I’d have to hunt for a suitable supplement of course. Could you just reiterate what should be in it please? So glad I found you Dr Jones, thank you.

My cat got diagnosed with diabetes a week ago. Her levels weren’t going down quickly. I’ve just taken her off of dry food and got her prescription food. I’m giving her two shots a day at the moment but I’m hoping she’ll be able to regulate with diet! Thank you for your video.

I love MURRAY! And I’m so happy he’s with you.
We found out our almost 12 year old guy is diabetic. He’s on the same amount of insulin that Murray was on. I’m so hopeful we’ll be able to get him into remission as well. I’m going to purchase your supplement also.

    1. Major Trauma

His name is Taka! We’ve had him and his brother Toshi since they were 6 months old. Taka has been on insulin for less than a week and what a world of difference. We feel the lowest amount of insulin might too much, but we’ll see what the vet says.
Here’s hoping Taka will go into remission just like Murray did!

Thank you so much for this video! Our cat is over 13yrs old and suffering with Diabetes, shes on the dry diabetic royal canin, but she is still peeing excessively and drinking a lot of water. So this really is much appreciated!

Hi, my cat was just diagnosed with diabetes so we are starting on the insuline. I am searching for the right food and the veteranarian suggested dry food meant for diabetes or urinary problems. I have found thus royal canin that you used and I am wondering how is your cat doing and what is her diet now? Thank you

Thank you so much for this video. My dog Mellow is diagnosed diabetic this past week. Everything has cost us so much and the food requires a prescription that could only be order online or buy at the clinic. The food is expensive online and almost double at the clinic. I’m going to try this, but I wanted to know how long before I take Mellow of the insulin and when to have him test?

Thanks for this wonderful video. Murray is so adorable! I replayed the video ten times just watching Murray….My furry story is that he has been on insulin for 2 months, I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing. I give him 1 cup of dry food and 1 cup of wet food 12 hours apart; both are prescription diet from his vet. My question is, if my cat goes into remission, will he need the prescription diet forever? There is non-prescription/commercial wet food high in protein that can do the work and is less expensive. He is always crying for food despite him receiving the correct portions; I worry that he doesn’t feel fed.

    1. Susan Jamieson

Nulo and Tikki are a couple good quality Low Glycemic non-Rx foods. They are also somewhat low on Phosphorous to help with any kidney/excessive peeing issues.
The Rx foods often have crap ingredients like cellulose (sawdust), ‘meat by products’ (meat from what??) and MSG in various forms. Hate paying premium dollar for non-organic foods.

Brilliant video. My cat has just been diagnosed as a diabetic. I suspected it was due to his love of kibble. However at the vets clinic she insisted I buy the prescription diet kibble, and yes its got all sorts of carbs in it. I kept thinking to myself, but cats dont eat rice and corn in the wild, how can this be good for him. Your video confirmed my thoughts. He is going on a raw meat diet now and I hope I can stop insulin injections soon. Thanks so much xxx

  14. Marcella

Thank you Dr. Jones. I’m going to try this with my senior cat. He gets two small servings of wet food per day and 3 small servings of diabetic kibble, but it doesn’t seem to be helping. I just checked his BS and it was very high, but it’s impossible to get a true curve as he never lets me do it more than once every few weeks. My question is, what do you consider to be a high-protein food? The wet food I give him is 10%, is that adequate or is there a specific brand I should be feeding?
