Diabetes Update for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Workers using Feltman®

This 2 hour online interactive education session will be delivered by the Diabetes Queensland’s First Nations Health Unit. You will receive a $50 gift card from Bwtribal and a certificate of attendance for all of those who attend and complete the evaluation form.

This session will support your understanding of the basics of diabetes with the use of Feltman®. (Feltman® and Feltmum® are registered trademarks of the Victorian Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation and Diabetes Victoria)

Topics include: what is diabetes, type 1, type 2 and gestational diabetes, symptoms, risk factors, diabetes management including healthy eating, physical activity, medications, monitoring, complications and screening and social and emotional well-being.

There will be opportunity for questions and answers during this live presentation via Zoom. You will be provided a certificate of attendance and the cost of this program is subsidised by NDSS.
