That might be ok for someone who does not have a serious Carbohydrate Metabolism Disorder. For someone with a serious problem…a stricter approach is probably needed. One day fast followed by one day with zero carbs….you will deplete excessive carbs….possibly get mild hypos. Then you go onto Atkins Induction with very low carbs, high fat and limited protein…..you will be able to dump ALL of your diabetes meds within 2 weeks.

The best thing anyone Dx’d with diabetes can do is to go VERY low-carb. Start at about 30g a day and increase from there to see your tolerance.

Non-starchy vegetables (especially green, leafy veg) and limited low-glycemic fruit (berries, cherries) are the BEST sources of carbs for diabetics. Refined carbs are the worst.

BTW sure you can ‘slow’ the digestion and limit glucose spikes, but it doesn’t change the total effect on your overall blood glucose. Carbs are carbs, period.

How to eat carbs with diabetes? The best way is to close your mouth and keep them out permanently.
Diabetes means too much blood sugar, and carbs turn into blood sugar, why eat them in the first place and purposely raise your blood sugar?
    Simple concept.

For some people, your solution may be both be practical and work great. But I am willing to bet, the majority of folks will not like the restrictiveness of the diet…..many will not feel very good on it either. I tried a low fat/high carb diet for quiet a while…..and I did not feel very good…I was also literally drooling with hunger most of the time (even though eating a ton of calories). Maybe someone who is very, very active and eats a ton of calories will do great on this diet….not me.

You’re obviously believing the lipid hypothesis, which – if you would do current research – you’d realize is a load of bunk.

Healthy fats/oils are one of the best foods for diabetics. Diabetics should NEVER eat low-fat anything. Cholesterol that we eat does NOT raise serum cholesterol – carbohydrates (especially refined) do.

Watch fathead, the movie or science for smart people to learn a little more…

In my opinion MOST of the diet recommendations for type 2 diabetics are insane. The majority of diet recommendations are for between 40-55% of the calories from CARBS. To me, that is similar to a doctor recommending to someone with badly arthritic knees, train for a marathon. I think that if a doctor recommends that type of diet, they must buy into government propoganda or want to sell a lot of diabetes medication. On a low carb diet you can have normal blood sugar in weeks if not days.

Excellent Video! Sorry for the intrusion, I would appreciate your opinion. Have you thought about – Patlarny Diabetes Ruins Principle (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is an awesome one off guide for destroying diabetes without the normal expense. Ive heard some super things about it and my m8 after many years got cool results with it.
