I underwent angioplasty recently. I am diabetic. I was told to stop taking metphormine two days prior to procedure and two days after (total 5 days). Why? Because the dye injected in the body during the procedure reacts with metphormine and cause damage or outright cause kidney failure. I found that scary.

Hubby and I enjoyed watching your video and learned a lot! It was very informative! Thank you! My husband has diabetes and I have been able to help him with his diabetes by drinking herbal teas that include mango and ginger. He also drinks mint tea. These really seem to help him a lot.

Organic Hibiscus Tea with hot boiled drinking water in a cup, drink it a comfortable temperature, the tea help lower A1c over a period of time. Be sure get the Organic one. A lady told me that she had Type 2 Diabetes stated her doctor took her off the medication because of her A1c was good results doing the visits This lady accomplish that by drinking the tea regularly or daily, & took the prescribed Metformin her A1c lower to normal range on clinic visits. Also, you will need to Mointor your blood sugar because the Organic Hibiscus Tea lower the blood glucose & also it used for the Cardiovascular System help lower blood pressure. The tea works if you take it on a regular base & watch your sugar & CHO intake.

I just happen to come across your channel. My family has a history with diabetes. I got diabetes after my last child from gestational diabetes. It’s such a blessing that I can use something else than metformin. I would always get diarrhea. Horrible. Thank you for this info. Also what’s a tinkster(I hope I wrote it correctly. Probably not. )

I was prescribed metformin…took once and then read on side effects…not a big fan of prescription drugs and have always preferred natural remedies…upon researching I’ve been on everything natural and have redirected my way of thinking when it comes to food. Beginning August after I was discharged from hospital for covid-19 pneumonia…I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes …level at 300! Fast forward I’m down to 106 as of yesterday just on my changes and natural remedies. Don’t believe that not taking western medicine is end all….it’s not! Do research! Remember many physicians make money off of the money the pharmaceutical industry make keeping folks staying sick. They don’t fix the underlying issues…they just prescribe the same thing to everyone without any cure in sight.

@Shelia Johnson I’ve been taking GOLI(orange, red & green ones) you can purchase from GNC or Walmart has it at times. I’ve completely changed my eating habits…no fried food or fast foods unless it’s a chicken spinach wrap from Subway(only grilled chicken, mustard, lettuce, spinach), I also eat organic red apples daily, baked salmon, asparagus, boiled cabbage, broccoli, baked chicken breasts without skin, cauliflower. I don’t add salt to my food only garlic powder & couple dabs of Tabasco sauce. I eat unsalted mixed nuts & mix it in with dark chocolate covered pecans. Unsalted walnuts as well. I usually only eat a meal 1x per day…snack on apples or mixed nuts throughout the day….I stop eating at 7pm. With any snacks I only eat the amount that fits onto palm of my hand. I also eat scrambled eggs every so often & cook with olive oil. I take multi vitamins, olive oil & garlic supplements as well.

Keep your carbs to a bare minimum. Reading food label is very important…watching sugar and added sugar on label is a must. If you have to add sugar to anything…use monkfruit sugar…expensive but safer than regular sugar.

Sorry, for the long answer but wanted to give you an idea of what I eat and supplements I take. I wish you the best on your journey to getting better & healthier❤

Forgot….losing weight is a must if you are not at your recommended weight….lots of water too.

No bread, rice or pasta…if you crave pasta…purchase the spinach pasta in the area where regular pastas are at Walmart. You can find spaghetti sauce with no sugar added as well…expensive but well worth it…taste great too

Hello, I randomly somehow came across your video today! I believe God placed it in the rotation! 🙂
Thanks so much for sharing this information. I’m currently on Metformin, taking blood pressure medicines and medicine for thyroid issues. Do you have any videos on natural thyroid remedies and is it okay in your opinion to use the remedies mention in this video with Methimazole 5 mg?

    1. Sainte Jeanne d'Arc

Thyroid meds are rough, and super hard to balance dosages, which can change over time. Natural thyroid glandulars are widely available. If you can’t get them locally, they can be mail ordered. I take adrenal glandulars, which are invaluable to me. I’ve tried thyroid combo glandulars, but they make me worse. Glandulars like adrenal and thyroid are often processed w/ the natural T3 or cortisol that you need from your own glands, but are lacking. Oats are a powerful food which can be used medicinally for blood pressure regulation. I trained as a holistic nutritionist, just so you know I didn’t just read an article.

Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge to us. I stopped taking metformin last year after the recall.
I want to know if I can take Goat’s Rue at night or after meals?

  7. Sassy Frassy

Metformin caused my cholesterol to go up to the point I ended up on lovastatin. I had never had high cholesterol til then. Then doing some research found it was a side effect of the metformin. I quit taking it and it took 2 yrs for my liver to go back to normal and my cholesterol to get back in the normal. I was also having too many lows with it.

Thank you for your video. I didn’t know about the specific Ceylon cinnamon. I was skeptical about the regular cinnamon because it is very sweet. Thanks for the information about the other products.

My insurance rejected Metformin ER (extended release)…however if you use your script from your doctor and purchase it without going through insurance, the retail price is extremely low. I got 90 days for $4 at Walmart pharmacy. And yes, the extended release ended my digestive issues. 🙂

    1. marcquetta stevens

I’d be weary of using Metformin ER. A lot of places pulled it because it was found to have some type of carcinogen in it. That may be why your insurance isn’t approving it.

  10. Bebi Sterling

Thank you so much, Just in time, I have so many digestive problems, my doctor told me, maybe this is a side effect of metformin, Just a month ago after I have taking it for 12 years, I Will try the herbs you mentioned, God bless you!

  11. Raqididyanails

Metformin almost killed me! Caused me so many problems I went the natural way cold turkey (with a plan) later found out I was not a diabetic in the first place I used a few products u mentioned as well as Grapeseed , fenugreek

  12. Kevin Marshall

Thank you for your wonderful insight on how to manage diabetes……My dad is 85yrs old….With Type 1 diabetes as well as neuroendocrine cancer….So,I’m trying ways to keep his sugar levels down and fight the cancer naturally…..He was on mediformin, however we’ve been weeding him off the mediformin……Ceylon Cinnamon,Beberine, taurine and Vitamin C and turmeric…….So,the information on the Goat’s Rue is a game changer…..I’ve never heard of Goat’s Rue b4……Thank for the pertinent info…..Godbless you beautiful lady…..!!!

  13. Vincent Manor

Wow, so very informative. I have been looking for something to help outside of pharmacy meds. Thank-you so very, very much! I am going to follow you and look forward to more herbal education.
GOD Bless you 🙏 young lady!

  14. Audre Evans

Thank you do much for sharing this very important information. Due to high blood sugar levels and Dr stated I was on my way to pre diabetes, I purchased Berberine for a month before seeing my Dr this morning. He was astonished, he even had to say that this herb actually works because my blood sugar readings were close to 200 and over…
Thank God for your video. Please continue sharing this precious information!
